I sat down today to start a campaign with my girlfriend on LAN earlier today, and I am rather vexed by the error I'm getting. If you're having this problem in 5 years time and have come here from google, you're welcome! I am puzzled, however, as to how "", and "CD KEYS" became valid keys in the first place! I suppose it must be something that GoG did to the game so it could be played without keys. I guess that the game looks for whatever is written on lines 2, 3, and 4 and takes them to be CD keys. I removed these line breaks, and I could create the game and have the laptop join it just fine. It turned out that the GOG keychanger was inserting to line breaks at the start of the nwncdkey.ini file. Remember to add keywords if your query is a specific one.
